When caught early, dental issues are more easily remedied. Dr. Lieberman suggests regular checkups to preserve optimal oral health and safeguard against damage.

Your checkup will include a comprehensive exam of your mouth, including a periodontal (gum) assessment and a tooth-by-tooth appraisal using our non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser. This state-of-the-art tool spots decay early and helps us preserve more of your natural tooth when performing restorative therapies, such as fillings. We’ll also perform an oral cancer screening. If we spot suspicious tissue, a painless brush biopsy can determine the cause. Dr. Lieberman will check your bite and jaw for proper alignment. A misaligned bite can result in TMJ disorder (TMD), which causes headaches, pain, and difficulty opening and closing the mouth. As a graduate of the renowned Pankey Institute, Dr. Lieberman has had extensive training in identifying and correcting TMJ-related issues. Lastly, we’ll take digital X-rays to aid in the identification and diagnosis of issues not easily seen during a visual or manual exam.
