February 27, 2020

Filed under: Video FAQs — Dr. Erin Page @ 10:41 pm

When dental patients need a replacement tooth assuming they still have the compromised, natural tooth a tooth extraction is usually the first step in the dental implant process.

After letting the extraction site heal for four to six months, the bone is usually ready for dental implant tooth replacement.

The first phase of the implant process is to place the implant screw where the old tooth was extracted. This serves as an artificial tooth root that will support the eventual tooth restoration.

Another four to six months later after the placement has time to heal Dr. Erin Page  can finish the procedure with a beautiful, custom crown on top of the placement. Your dental implant will be completely indistinguishable from other natural teeth both in appearance, and function!

If you are missing one or several teeth and interested in dental implant tooth replacements, our Capital District dentists would love to discuss your options. Contact our dental practice to schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Page! We can’t wait to help realize the smile of your dreams.
